Find the leader within

Leaders have the ability to set goals, communicate ideas and empower others to create positive change. That’s why leadership development is such a key component of campus life here at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录.

We offer a variety of on-campus opportunities to help you explore the foundations of leadership and gain related skills. Get your start as a student leader here and use your knowledge to prepare for leadership roles post-graduation.

Emerging Leaders is a first-year student program that uses a combination of skill-building, workshops and self-exploration to help you develop a personal philosophy of leadership and create a foundation for your future leadership roles. Students in this program learn about the college community and uncover more ways to get involved.

Meet and network with other student leaders at the two-day Student Leadership Conference, offered each fall. The conference includes sessions on conflict management and role modeling and offers a variety of hands-on workshops.

Take courses in the leadership studies minor to extend your knowledge of leadership styles and theories, reflect on ethics related to leadership and consider the global impact of leaders on the common good.

The best way to learn how to become a leader is to practice leading! Pick one or more of our student clubs and orgs and dive in: Each organization offers plenty of opportunities to move into a leadership position.

A job does more than just fill your wallet. Work experience encourages hands-on leadership development and helps you gain skills to make you more employable in the future. On-campus student positions range from aerobics instructor to catering assistant and facilities crew member to academic tutor.

If you’re deeply interested in leadership development through employment, we suggest you consider applying to be a resident assistant in one of the res halls or a Green Knight mentor for incoming first-year students.

Learn to lead through an internship where you’ll work alongside professionals in your chosen field and explore your career path with the potential to earn course credit.

Great leaders deserve recognition

The annual Norbertine Leadership and Service Awards recognize selfless devotion to improving 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 and the greater community; to going above and beyond in appreciating human differences; to establishing connections between students, faculty, and staff; and living the college mission. In years past, more than $30,000 in scholarships have been awarded annually.
