The Advisory Committee supports the Accounting program’s mission to prepare students for employment in the accounting field and further education by providing experiences that emphasize intellectual and technical excellence, creativity, personal and interpersonal skills, professionalism, and cultural competence. It provides a mechanism to (1) improve communication; (2) solicit the confidence of the public; (3) obtain valuable input on the programs and services available to students with disabilities; and (4) include the students’ voice in the process of maintaining a strong disability support program.
